Swimming Lessons

Well the summer boredom has started. My kids were getting bored and school hasn't even been out for 3 weeks yet. So my friend Sandra and I decided that we would put the kids in swimming lessons. Great idea for two, bad idea for one. Carson is my most daring child when it comes to swimming, he jumps in with no floaties, ducks his head under water, everything crazy. But for some reason on the first day of lessons he got scared and will not participate. He wants to be in the pool swimming but he wants to do his own thing. Well I did not pay $ for that, so I am running into a dilema. Today I almost started to laugh because he was telling the teacher that he was nervous. What 4 year old says that? Bay and Ry are doing great and having fun, but I guess Carson will be sitting with me pool side for another 2 weeks.

Prego update

Well I'm almost 25 weeks pregnant! I can't believe the time has passed so quick, but I also can't believe that I have half way to go. I'm always hesitant about posting pictures of me especially pregnant, because I tend to gain atleast 10 pounds in my nose and lips alone. Let alone my whole body. Hopefully I won't gain as much this time but I'm not holding my breath. We still have no idea what we're going to name the baby. We have liked Amy all along now Avery is popping into our minds. I think that their both really cute names. We know for sure that her middle name is going to be Francis after my Grandpa, but that's about it. I'll keep ya posted.

Pierced Ears

We always told the girls that they had to wait until they were eight years old before we would let them get their ears pierced. Then one by one their friends started getting theirs done, and the begging started. It wasn't all the time but occasionally they would bring it up. Landon and I always said no but then when I got thinking about it, I didn't really see what the big deal was. So I started working on Landon. He was the big NO behind the No. I think it's because it's hard for him to see his little babies grow up. Well after enough talking he agreed. So one day After school we asked the girls if they wanted to get their ears pierced that day. They were excited. I took the camera thinking that the "after"pictures would be of them crying, but the before and after were exactly the same. Now the begging is about buying new earings. It starts again.

Carsons Special Day

I don't know why but I love the show Jon and Kate plus eight. I watch it all the time. I guess I like to see other people have chaotic lives. It makes me feel like I'm not alone. Well I was watching it with the kids the other night when Landon was out of town, and on the show they started to have special dates with their kids. One child at a time. My kids thought that it was a great idea and asked me if we could start doing that. So the next Monday for Family home evening we went through the calendar and picked out months. The kids can pick anything they want to do(within reason.) So we started with Carson. We ate at Chic-fil-a, and he wanted to see Speed Racer. It was fun. I really heard what he had to say, because all the attention was on him. I can't wait until the girls have a turn.

Schools Out

Another School year come and gone. Carson had his 1st pre-school graduation. He had to sing a solo all by himself. He did great. On tune and everything. And the girls had their first grade singing program. They did so good. I dare say that I'm glad that it's over because the songs were driving me crazy!!! What sweet girls now on to second grade.
