Vacation

I am feeling very anxious about leaving the kids to go to St. Thomas Virgin Islands on Thursday. It's not like Landon and I haven't gone on trips before and left the kids, but for the past two vacations that we went on they were as a family. I keep thinking what if someting happens to us? What will happen to the kids? Or what if something happens to the kids while we are away. Baylee has been sick for the past few days, and she keeps telling me that she doesn't want me to die. I tell her that that won't ever happen until she's really old, but she cries, and it makes me feel so sad. And even more nervous to leave. Landon earned this trip through work by meeting Quota and boy does he deserve it. I know when we get there it will be fun, but it's just hard to leave. We also have a family vacation in February planned to go to Cancun with Landons Family, so I better get used to traveling again:o)

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas. The parties and the visiting were the best. I always get a little down after Christmas, because all the months of preparation is over in one day. Bummer!!!Oh well new year, new opportunities. Hope you like the pics.

Christmas Decorating

I finally had a good place to display my Christmas Village that I have been collecting since we got married.
My "nice" Christmas tree.

Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about it. When I was a kid Christmas time was MAGICAL!! Something that is hard to keep going when you grow up. I love the excitement that encompases my kids the whole month. I love the feeling that comes with giving, and the rememberance of Jesus Christs birth. But I also Love Christmas decorating. I was really excited to decorate this year because of the new house. Finding a place for everything was challenging and fun. Take a peek.

Family Fun Night

New Christmas Jammi's
Carson insisted on having his face covered by his black hat. He wanted to be the Black Spiderman.

So last year Landon and I started a tradition for our family. We decided that each year we would go up to Salt Lake and stay in a Hotel, and do fun Christmasey stuff. So this year we stayed at the Hilton Homewood Suites in Salt Lake, it's right by Gateway. We ate dinner at Iggy's (Landons Favorite because of the huge screens htat played the Jazz game.) Then we went to Temple Square and looked at the lights. It was really cold that night, so we went back to the Hotel, and opened presents which just happened to be new Christmas Jammi's. What a fun night. The next day we went to Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Ummmm not so great. I felt frazzled when we left the theatre because the singing about pushed me over the edge. Next year we will have to do it again.

Santa at Smiths?

On Saturday I took the kids to Smiths with me to fill Carsons Rx. At the Checkout the cashier told me that Santa was over by the flowers. So I took the kids over to see him. It worked out good, because I haven't taken them to see him anywhere yet. When we got in the car the kids told me that they think that the Santa in the store was one of Santa's elves, because the real Santa was too busy making toys for Christmas. So he sends his elves to sit in his place. Genius. Santa at Smiths who would have thought.

What Glare?

I had to post this picture, because of the story behind it. On Friday night after the Concert we went to eat at a sushi resteraunt in Salt Lake. There was a spotlight shining down on Landons head that we had been joking about during dinner. It looked like he was being interrogated. We wanted a picture together, so Carter held up a napkin infront of the light to block the glare off his head. What a cutie Pie:o)

What sweeter music

What a Hottie!!!

Angie and Dallas

Sandra And Carter
What a fun night!!!! I have wanted to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert for a while now.The King Singers were going to be the Guest Musicians, and I have loved their music since my choir days in High School. So when I heard that tickets for this year were going to be raffled, I entered Every person in my family. And Yay we got a few tickets. So we went with my sister Angie and her husband Dallas, and our good friends Sandra and Carter. Before the concert started I noticed a boy sitting in front of us who didn't look like he felt very good, but I didn't think too much of it, until I was in conversation with Angie, and I looked up and saw that the boy was THROWING UP!!!! AAAHHHH! The girl that he was with grabbed a hat or scarf or something to catch the barf but he just wasn't stopping. So she walked him out. It wasn't until a few minutes later that we went to the bathroom, and noticed a trail of throwup down the isle, and all the way up the stairs to the bathroom. It was gross, but I felt bad for him and the volunteers who had to clean up the mess. The concert was wonderful. I love the way that music has a way of making me feel at peace. I love Christmas songs. President Hinckley was there , and they were filming it that night to be shown on PBS later.
The kids were sleeping over at my parents house, and after the concert we called them to see how the kids were doing. My mom said that Carson wanted to come home. He wanted his mommy. So after dinner we picked him up, and took him home, while the girls stayed. He was up a lot that night coughing and barking. On Saturday morning we took him the the Doctor, and were told that he had croup. I havent had croup since I had babies in the house, and that was a while ago. Thank goodness for Steroids. He is feeling a lot better now. Overall what a fun night.

Frosty the Snowman

"THE JUMP"

The Fam and Frosty

Last Saturday we woke up to no snow at our house. We were dissapointed because the News reported that it was going to be a huge storm. Later that morning I talked to my mom, and she said that they had about 9 inches and it was still snowing. So we got all the snow gear together, and off we went to Grandma's house. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't really played in the snow since High School. The kids were really excited to go sledding. There was a jump that was made, and all the kids were going off it. There was a lady about my age next to us with her kids, and after Rylee went off the jump she looked at us and said "you guys are asking for a trip to the Hospital today hugh?" WHATEVER!!! I was so bugged, it was like she questioning our parent skills. So what did we do? We kept going off the jump. HAHA. After the sledding Carson insisted that we build a huge Frosty. The funny part was that after it was all built Carson said that we needed to all hold hands and sing around the Snowman like they do on the movie. What a sight:o) So overall it was a really fun day. I'm glad that we did that as a family.
